3. How to create a frontend (or multiple)

Overview

Remember: Every interview agent needs two components: an interview configuration + at least one frontend.

The interview configuration has to be created earlier, which you already did in Tutorial 2. Now we can create one or multiple frontends for an interview agent.

Step 1: Continue the configuration

Go to your specific interview agent and then go to the tab Configuration.

Single Agent Dashboard

This time, you do not need to edit the Specification, as you did earlier in Tutorial 2. Instead, you want to take a look at the section called Entrypoints.

An entrypoint is a frontend that the interviewee will see. Marked in red is the button that you can click to create a new entrypoint. Marked in green is an already created entrypoint.

Step 2: Create a new entrypoint / frontend

If you clicked on the + Create button, the sidebar opens with the configuration for the entrypoint.

You have the option to select the following items:

Name: This is just the name of the entrypoint. If you make one entrypoint per language, then it is a good idea to refer to the specific language in this field so that you can recognize it ("English interface" vs. "German interface").

Title: What will be presented to the interviewee as the title of the interview within the frontend.

Subtitle: What will be presented to the interviewee as the subtitle of the interview within the frontend.

Description: What will be presented to the interviewee as a short description about the interview.

Primary Color: The color that represents your brand and that is used as a highlighting color in the frontend. Make sure that the color is not too dark, as it has to work well with black font.

You can always change it, even if the interview is already live!

Frontend Configuration

You're almost done, but there are two more things that you want to take care of: adding your own logo and adding links to your legal pages like privacy policy and terms & conditions.

So, go to the top right and click on the company profile. You will find it under your company's name - in this case SuperPrint - under Profile.

Company Profile

Then under General information about your organization you can upload your company's logo. This logo will be shown on every external frontend.

Upload your logo.

Additional Profile Settings

On the same page, click on the tab called Legal.

Under Legal information about your organization you can insert your own legal links to properly process your interviewees' data. You do not need to create new legal sites. Simply add the URLs to your existing legal pages.

Additional Legal Settings

Your legal links will be used within the legal notice on the external frontends. The following is a preview:

Success!

You now have a fully functioning and fully compliant interview agent. Your agent is complete.

(Optional) Step 4: Multiple Frontends

Would you like to have multiple frontends? This can make sense if you want to have frontends in different languages or perhaps in different tones.

Simply re-do this tutorial and add more frontends.

This is how your configuration would look with two frontends:

Next Steps

After creating your frontend:

  • Share your interview with your audience
  • Monitor responses and analytics
  • Export results for analysis
